Care instructions

We only use natural products to finish the metal. All forged pieces are treated with Beeswax and ‘Renaissance Wax’ to provide a protective and attractive finish. We do recommend that you occasionally treat the metal with Beeswax or a similar natural polish, this will build a beautiful patina and keep the piece looking great. Simply apply some wax and buff to a high shine.
As no lacquers or paints are used to treat the metal then over time, and if there is significant moisture in the air, rust spots may begin to appear. If this does happen gently remove the spots with wire wool and apply a coat of natural wax as detailed above. Given a little care and attention your piece will last for generations!

Gift wrapping and packaging

Bookmarks are placed in a ‘Coach House Forge’ branded card sleeve ready for gifting. They are shipped in a plain white jiffy bag.

Bowls & Dishes are packed in a ‘Coach House Forge’ branded, cardboard presentation box and then shipped in a sturdy cardboard outer box.

Keyrings are placed in a fabric drawstring gift pouch and shipped in a plain white jiffy bag.

Pokers & Flowers are wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.

Custom and personalised orders

All personalisation is done using vintage letter and number punches.

Due to the fact each letter is individually stamped by hand, text may not always perfectly align. We’re not robots, but we do have a highly trained eyes! I’m sure you appreciate that this is the real beauty of hand made work!

Please make sure you let us know of any particular preferences regarding the layout of your message, otherwise we will use our best artistic judgment.

We do usually spot spellink mistukes but cannot be held responsible if we stamp a message that does have typo’s or grammatical errors!

Cancellations and returns

Returns – Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can’t accept returns for custom or personalised orders.
Cancellations – If work has not started on your item then we will gladly refund, but if the personalisation process has begun this will not be possible. So do let us know as soon as possible.
Please contact us if you have any problems with your order and we will try our hardest to resolve them.

Processing time

The time I need to prepare an order for dispatch varies. This is the time it will take to prepare for dispatch and doesn’t include postage time.

Bookmarks & Keyrings – up to 3  days

Personalised bowls – up to 5 days

Fusion bowls and larger items – up to 10 days

If there is a specific date you require a product please let us know and where possible we can prioritise.

Estimated delivery times

Small items will be posted with the Royal Mail 1st class

Larger Items will be posted with ParcelForce next day delivery
