The abstract ‘crosshatch’ pattern is achieved by hundreds of intentional, carefully placed hammer blows upon red hot iron creating this distinctive, eye catching design.

The dark iron hues serve to highlight the highly polished areas of the bowl which transform into flashes of silver tone reflecting light from all view points.
