The Fold Dish

The small fold dish’s diameter measures 150mm (6″) and the dish stands 15mm (1″) high. They are forged from  3mm (1/8th”) Steel stock.

The red hot metal is folded over and carefully hammered down the seam before being ‘unfolded’ back, revealing the raised fold effect…

The dish shape is then formed using a raw-hide mallet so there are no hammer marks on the metal – this ensures the smooth contemporary finish. The base is flattened a little to stabilise the dish.

We finish the dish with Beeswax to create a protective and attractive ‘gun-metal’ appearance.

Each small fold dish is ‘signed’ on the base using the Coach House Forge makers mark.

Whatever the occasion or setting, this unique dish will not fail to impress!
