Designed and hand-forged by blacksmith Chris at Coach House Forge, this striking Copper and Iron Button Bowl makes a meaningful and memorable 9th wedding anniversary gift. Traditionally, the 9th anniversary is celebrated with copper, symbolizing warmth, durability, and love that grows stronger with time.
Each bowl is individually crafted by repeated heating and hammering with traditional blacksmithing tools and techniques. No two are ever alike, the subtle variations created during forging make each piece entirely unique.

The bowl is hand-cut while red hot, shaped with patience and precision, and then rejoined using three solid copper rivets. The hammered rivet heads, measuring around 12mm (1/2″), add both strength and decorative character.
To enhance and protect the finish, each bowl is treated with several coats of museum-grade Renaissance Wax, allowing the natural beauty of the iron and copper to shine through. Every piece is finished with the Coach House Forge touchmark on the base as a maker’s signature.
